The basic format for an essay is known as the five paragraph format essay, but an essay may have as many paragraphs as needed; whenever a new point needs to be discussed. However, the essay itself comprises of three sections: an introduction, a body and a conclusion. Choosing the Topic: The person is assigned with the topic first. After that the writer should read the topic twice so that they may know the actual purpose of writing it. If anyone is given the topic, they should think about the type of material that you want to produce. One should keep in mind that whatever the mission of the essay is, they should make sure that they are interested in the topic.
Gathering the main points: Organizing the thoughts is the successful step towards writing on any topic, as it help the person to plan that which information should come on the first and which one in the last. Brainstorming is the most commonly practiced technique of preparing the points and information about the topic.
Writing a catchy thesis statement: The thesis statement tells the reader the point of your essay. A thesis statement outlines what we aim to prove in our essay. A good thesis statement should be clear, concise and specific. The thesis statement will have two parts. The first part states the topic, and the second part states the point of the essay.
Writing the introduction: The introduction is the first paragraph of the essay. It introduces the reader to the idea that the essay will address. It is also intended to capture the reader's attention and interest. The first sentence of the introduction paragraph should be as captivating and interesting as possible.
Focusing on the main body: This is the major part of the essay where all the details, explanations and justifications are jotted down. This comprises on 3 to 4 paragraphs according to the topic.
Writing the conclusion: The final paragraph of the essay provides the conclusion. This paragraph restates the thesis statement, using to some extent different wording than done in the introduction. The paragraph should summarize the arguments presented in the body of the essay. The last sentence in the conclusion paragraph should show that the essay has come to end.
Referencing or citations: If there are any links where the person has selected any ideas in the topic, they should need to refer to it at the end in order to beautify the essay.
